There are eight lightbulbs and eight spoons hanging from an umberlla. Right under the umberlla there is a fish tank with a fish in it.
Every time the fish is looking towards a light bulb it is turned on and a spoon hits it making a noise. I used computer vision and arduino to make this project possible
This piece talks about the double slit experiment - Quantum Mechanics. From the fish’s perspective, all the lightbulbs are always turned on as he activates them by looking towards them.
However, the viewer knows just one of them is on.
The piece was exhibited in february 2019 in Ben Pimlott Building, Goldsmiths University. The exhibition was called 2POP.
